Abstract (EN)
This study is based on the synthesis of functional coatings for use in monitoring physical fatigue, for aimed the detection of diseases associated with high fever, in temperature sensing applications, and energy-saving glasses. Unlike the studies in the literature containing VO2, the properties of thermochromic coatings prepared with thermochromic pigments in different compositions by the low-cost sol-gel method were evaluated. With the green thermochromic pigment, it was aimed to produce new generation thermochromic smart glass coatings that contribute to the energy saving of buildings by changing the optical properties depending on the changing temperature. After characterization of thermochromic pigments with activation temperatures of 33°C, 45°C and 65°C, thermochromic coatings prepared by sol-gel method were coated on quartz lamella, glass and fabric substrates with various coating techniques such as squeegee, brush, dipping and spraying. When the surface temperature of thermochromic coatings heat-treated at various temperatures reached a certain level, they changed color and reversibly returned to their original color when cooled. Color and grain size measurements of the formed thermochromic coatings were made and characterization studies were carried out with infrared thermal camera, XRD, TGA, DSC, FTIR, SEM, TEM, UV-VIS and UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometer devices. The results showed that coatings made with green thermochromic pigments have the potential to be used in energy-saving glasses and in fabrics that can detect high fever, while coatings made with black and blue pigments can be used as temperature-sensing coatings.
