With the development of concrete technology in the world, new methods have been discovered for needs. One of these needs is to increase the resistance of cocrete against impact. Concrete can be exposed to explosions, high temperatures, high velocity bullets in defense structures or nuclear power plants. Concrete is a brittle material. Carbon fiber, glass fiber, steel fiber are used to increase the strength and durability of concrete. So slurry infiltrated fiber concrete (SIFCON) was discovered. In this study; materials and methods that can be used to improve the impact properties of cocrete have been investigated. First, workability tests were carried out and the most suitable mixing ratios were determined. Then, the effect of SIFCON on mechanical and physical properties was investigated by using different fiber types at different rates. Steel and polypropylene fibers were used separately at %3, %5 and %7 volume and 7 series were produced together with the fiber-free reference sample. Cube, beam and disk speciments were produced for compressive, flexural and impact strength tests. Then cured for 28 and 56 days. By looking at the tests applied at the end of the curing periods, it was concluded that as fiber ratio increased compressive strength decreased, flexural and impact strength incereased. The highest compressive strength value was measured in reference sample. The highest flexural and impact strength values were measured in sample containing %7 volume of steel fiber. Increasing the curing time had a positive effect on the mechanical properties. Steel fiber increased mechanical properties more than polypropylene fiber. Considering all these results, it has been seen that the use of fiber has an active role in increasing the impact strength of cement-based composites.
