Abstract (EN)

Sugar beet has become an important turning point in our country's agriculture and industry since the first time it was cultivated. Our country is very rich in terms of climate and vegetation due to its geography, and sugar beet production is spread over a very wide area in our country. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of different doses of vermicompost applications together with chemical fertilization on the yield and quality characteristics of sugar beet in Eskişehir province, which is among the important provinces in Turkey in sugar beet (Beta vulgaris saccharifera) production. The study was carried out between April 2024 and December 2024 in the field trial in İnönü District of Eskişehir Province, according to the randomized block design with three replications. In addition to the chemical fertilization applied for sugar beet cultivation within the scope of the experiment, increasing doses of vermicompost (0,250,500,750,1000,1250 kg/da) were applied. In this research, single plant root-stem yield, root yield, sugar ratio and sugar yield were examined. As a result, within the scope of this thesis, which investigated the effects of different worm compost doses on yield and quality traits in sugar beet plants, it was determined that there was no statistical difference between the worm compost doses on single plant root stem yield, root yield, sugar ratio and sugar yield.
