Abstract (EN)
In Sultan Mehmed the Conquerer's period, the art of Ottoman that live the most successful term gave the most beautiful examples in some arts such as gilding, binding, tile, style and mine in the countries. In this thesis, in 15th century, mentioned about the "Baba Nakkaş Styleu" that was brought reflecting to the Tile Art of this genre. The patterns of the Baba Nakkaş style, the main reflections are seen in the tile art, the daily goods and ceramic tiles. Pay architectural, the patterns which take attention to the Baba Nakkaş style, in the Topkapı Palace, the treasury, the Bursa Muradiye Mosque and Tomb, the Tiled Pavilion and the some architectural works built in that term. This work is important because the patterns of the Baba Nakkaş Style gathered in Fatih's album in the tile art weren't evaluated before. The thesis prepared is 3 parts; In the first part after giving general information about the Turkish ornamental arts. Some informations were given about the life of Sultan Mehmed the Conquerer, the culture and the Art of period, the nakishane tradition and the palace nakishane. Then, the life of Baba Nakkas, especially the artist's Baba Nakkas Style and the innovations which were brought to the ottoman classical art and specific Rumi and hatayî motifs were introduced. In the second part, the work which produced in period of Sultan Mehmed the Conquerer were sustained Baba Nakkas style's features. In the third part a catalogue was done by substained to Baba Nakkas style which were produced in 15th century and the patterns which were designed in Fatih's album. As a result and evaluation part, the patterns in Fatih's Album and Baba Nakkas style's patterns were compared and the specific design and applications were done and they were put in this thesis.
