Abstract (EN)
Fatsa district is located in the Central Black Sea region of the Black Sea Region. It is administratively connected to Ordu province. There are the Black Sea in the north of the district, Ünye in the west, Perşembe in the east, and Çamaş, Çatalpınar, and Gürgentepe districts in the south. In the study, natural and cultural heritage elements were identified, and observations and examinations were made. From past to present, there have been nations with various political, economic, and political ambitions in the region and the region. For this reason, there are ruins, structures, and cultural heritage elements belonging to different historical periods in the region. In addition, natural formations that occur to the extent allowed by the natural environmental characteristics of our site are evaluated and explained in the category of natural heritage. It is important to bring natural and cultural heritage to the local economy. For this reason, we believe that the study will fill an important gap. The aim of the study is to geographically examine the natural and cultural heritage in Fatsa district. However, it is important to promote the natural and cultural riches in Fatsa district and to protect these values within the scope of sustainability principles. Only in this way will it be possible for natural (lakes, caves, beaches, recreation areas, monumental trees, lakes, healing waters, waterfalls) and cultural heritage (bridges, mosques, handicrafts, castles, mills, mansions) values to benefit economically and be transferred to future generations. There are some deficiencies in transportation, advertising, accommodation, promotion, and facility construction for heritage tourism in the study area. For this reason, existing problems have been identified and solutions to these problems have been developed. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) were utilized at almost every stage of the study.
