Abstract (EN)
Today, with rising of living standarts, effective and efficient use of clean and cheap energy in all areas has become extremely important. In this thesis study, it is intended that fatty acid, paraffin and paraffin-based synthetic phase-change materials which can store energy to impregnate with "Vacuum Impregnation Method" to natural materials such as pumice and zeolite at certain temperatures. The phase change materials are impregnated on different sizes granules of pumice and zeolite, under vacuum and at different temperatures. phase change materials holding capacities of pumice and zeolite were determined. In the second stage of study, in relation to their ability to store solar energy and waste heat of buildings, the heat storage capacity of the resulting microcapsules was determined. Vacuum Impregnation Method which used in the study is that, phase change materials which contain fatty acid and paraffins in molten, loaded onto the pumice and zeolite granules. In this method phase-change material are loaded onto natural materials by the effect of vacuum, thus dissolution of paraffins and fatty acids which are meltable even at room temperature, is prevented.
