Abstract (EN)
Hardfaced machine parts that have a history of about 100 years and work in aggressive working conditions such as mining, excavation and agriculture; It is a surface modification method using a suitable welding process to protect against failure such as abrasion, erosion and corrosion. Numerous hardfacing compositions are in commercial use today, and new alloys continue to be developed. In this study, Fe-Mo-Ti-Mn-B-C based new hardfacing compositions were developed that can be used as an alternative to commercially used hardfacing compositions. As a result of literature review and preparatory studies, covered hardfacing electrodes with eleven different compositions were produced. Considering the economic factors ferro alloy powders and low-cost additives were used as raw materials. The hardfacing electrodes were coated on AISI 1010 steel with electric arc welding technique. Then, microstructural examinations were carried out experimental samples which were prepared according to standard metallographic processes. Macro and micro hardness were measured with Vickers and Rockwell hardness method respectively and wear resistance was measured by using a reciprocal wear test machine. Experimental findings showed that the surface alloyed layer was metallurgically compatible with the substrate and the phase distribution of coating layer was homogeneous.
