Özet (EN)
This Thesis aims to show an approach related to the concept of death which has been commonly a matter of debate by philosophers in each era of philosophy history and whether it may be an object of philosophic knowledge despite this impression in philosophic history. In accordance with this aim, the first chapter of the thesis approaches the relation of death religion and philosophy in the focus of human's death. In the second chapter, various opinions on death of philosophers from different eras such as Epicurus, İbni Sina and Camus have been presented as exemplification. In the third chapter of the thesis, the significance of separating knowledge and belief is emphasized and at this point, the importance of Hartmann's knowledge approach is highlighted, based on the attempt to open the door to a conclusion. In this context, the thought that as there is no "self-being" of death, in Hartmann's understanding, no knowledge related to death can be argued on will be grounded.
