Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out with the aim of determining the ecocentric, anthropocentric and antipathic attitudes towards the presentation of science, social studies and classroom courses and examining them in terms of some demographic variables. The research was carried out with the fine research method and was designed according to the relational scanning pattern. The study group of the research consists of 249 teachers, 148 women and 101 men, from the branches of science, social studies and classroom teaching, working in public schools in Samsun. In order to collect data, the "Ecocentric, Anthropocentric and Environmentally Antipathic Attitude Scale", which was stimulated by Erten (2007), was used. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics and nonparametric tests, Kruskal Wallis test and Mann Whitney U-test were used. In order to determine the relationship, the Sperman Brown Rank Differences Correlation coefficient was calculated. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a low level of positive relationship between teachers' ecocentric attitude scores and anthropocentric attitude scores, and a low negative significant relationship between ecocentric attitude scores and antipathetic attitude scores. According to this result, it is thought that in order to reduce the antipathetic perspective towards the environment, it is necessary to move away from anthropocentric attitude and adopt an ecocentric attitude. It was determined that the scores of ecocentric and anthropocentric attitudes were above the average, and the scores of antipathic attitudes towards displaying were below the average in all branches. When the ecocentric and anthropocentric attitude scores between the branches were compared, no significant difference was found, while a significant difference was found between science and classroom teachers in favor of classroom teachers in the scores of antipathic attitudes towards the environment. While there was no significant differences anthropocentric attitude scores according to gender, it was seen that there is a significant difference between ecocentric attitude towards environmental orientation in favour of female and in the antipathic attitudes scores in favour of male teachers. It was concluded that there was no significant difference in the scores of ecocentric, anthropocentric and antipathic attitudes towards the environment according to the years of service of the teachers.
