The research on the characteristics of perfectionism, self-esteem and leadership of the students at science lycee and social sciences lycee

The debates on the characteristics of gifted and talented students have been continuing on different sides. In this study, the relations among the characteristics of perfectionism, self-esteem and leadership of Science Lyce students and Social Science Lyce have been searched. The study that has been done according to descriptive statistics has been carried out on 391 students. 217 of the students are from Science Lyces and 174 of them are from Social Science Lyces. In this study, leadership subscale of the minnesota counseling Inventory, multidimensional perfectionism scale, self-esteem scale and the information form including different variables have been used. T-test and chi-square data analysis tachnique have been used for the analysis of data got from the study. In the results of t-test, on the sides of the preoccupational mistakes and parental criticism, the points of the students who study at Science Lycees are considerably high. In the results of chi-square data analysis technique, there is no difference between two groups from the point of view of the characteristics of the perfectionism, self-esteem and leadership. Findings which we had from the research have been discussed regarding the finding of literature. vm
