Abstract (EN)

It has been reported that anxiety disease is one of the common psychiatric disorders in society. It is thought that anxiety disorder may occur due to various reasons. Several traditional anxiolytic drugs are used today, but these drugs are reported to cause many serious side effects. For this reason, studies are carried out at great speed by researchers to find more effective and safe drug sources suitable for their target from natural sources. In this context, phytochemical compounds with well-established anxiolytic activities, structure-activity relationships and neuropsychopharmacological aspects are comprehensively reviewed. The results reported that phenolic phytochemicals have safe anxiolytic effects. Studies have shown that ferulic acid is a phenolic compound with low toxicity. Ferulic acid is reported to have many physiological functions, including its anxiolytic effect. Within the scope of this project, increasing the bioavailability of ferulic acid in acute and subchronic administration by loading it into the loaded drug carrier system and the value of this observed effect in anxiolytic treatment will be evaluated.
