Fethu Rabbi'l-Beriyye fî Fikhi's-Sâdeti'l-Hanefiyye (Abdülfettâh b. Derviş et-Temîmî): Contextual critique, analysis and assessment

Islamic Civilization exhibits a productive and influential character in every field. The contributions of Muslim ulema of the early period (Salaf) are quite important to the Islamic Canonical Laws/Sciences, particularly to the most significant part of Islamic social life; Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence). And must be brought forward to the present day as analytical, critical and research works. Contrary to the assumption, Fiqh literature; particularly the one produced in Palestine and Jerusalem during the Ottoman period, is not undervalued and underestimated in the Islamic world. The book that is used for textual criticism in this research, "Fethu Rabbi'l-Beriyye fî Fıkhi's-Sâdeti'l-Hanefiyye", is a work of Abdulfettah b. Dervish en-Nablusî et-Temimi (A.H.1138/A.D.1726), who served as the Mufti of Jerusalem. This literary work acts as an important source for Fatwa (a ruling of Islamic law) literature of Hanafi School of Thought during the period of discussion as well as offer a historical account and characteristics of this era.
