The effect of FİFA 11+ programme on anaerobic performance and EMG responses in adolescent male soccer players

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to see how FIFA 11+ affected anaerobic performance and EMG responses in adolescent male soccer players. The study began with 30 adolescent male soccer players and was completed with 28 participants (Age: 11.64 ± 1.06 years, body weight: 42.47 ± 9.27 kg, height: 153.31± 11.39 cm). Participants were randomly assigned to one of three groups: FIFA 11+ (F11+, n = 10), traditional football training (TST, n = 9), and control (CON, n = 9). On the first day of the study, participants' body weight, height, and skin fold thickness were measured; on the second day, they were given a 5-minute warm-up run, EMG measurements, and vertical jump height measurements, followed by 10 m running sprint tests. The F11+ group followed the FIFA 11+ program three times a week for six weeks, while the TST group followed the traditional program three times a week for six weeks. The control group did not use dynamic warm up. Following the warm-up programs, the entire group practiced regular soccer. The measurements were repeated in the same manner after 6 weeks, and the study was completed. The results of the pre-test and post-test were statistically compared. Skin fold thickness (F11+ -5.15%, CON 2.26%) (p≤0.05, p≤0.01), vertical jump height (F11+ 8.20%, GFA 6.28%) (p≤0.05, p≤0.01), and 10m sprint time (F11+ -3.39%) (p≤0.05) differ significantly after application (p≤0.05, p≤0.01). The EMG measurement values did not differ significantly. As a result, the FIFA 11+ program is seen to contribute to the development of adolescent football players by improving measurements of skin fold thickness, vertical jump height, and 10m sprint times. The FIFA 11+ program may be preferred over traditional programs for the development of these parameters, which have a significant value for football performance.
