Examination on the Fikirler Mecmuasi (ideas journal), index and selected texts(1-30.numbers)

Fikirler Mecmuası (Ideas Journal), which was one of the long-termed journals in the Republican period, is the subject of our study. The journal was started broadcasting on July 1, 1927 and 370 issues were published by lasting until 1950. The first 30 issues were published in old letters, and the journal continued to be published with Latin letters from the 31st issue due to the letter revolution in November 1928. The journal included a lot of fields such as literature, philosophy, sociology, history, and education. The study consists of three main sections: review, index analysis, and selected texts. In the first section, the press publishing life from the Republic period to the Tanzimat reform period, and the press publishing life in İzmir, and the alphabet revolution are mentioned. Shape characteristics of the journal, publication policy, the staff of the authors and the subjects involved in the articles are also discussed in this section. The second part of our study is composed of index analysis of the journal. The index analysis section, separated according to name of authors and subjects, is discussed in detail and in full. The third section is consisted of selected texts from the journal. The selected texts are sorted, read and latinized without breaking from the original. Index and bibliography are added, and the study is terminated by adding a number of pictures from the journal.
