Abstract (EN)
What is meant with the concept of division in Palestine is the structure that is presented by two different organizations which are El-Fatah and Hamas. This split represents geographical, sociologic, economic and political separation. The Palestine society is disintegrated and split into parts with Israel occupation. The geographical separation caused sociologic and economic differences. This separation in Palestine turns into even an internal armed conflict. The weakness caused by the separation in Palestine paves the way to vulnerability in the negotiations with Israel. This situation weakens the military, diplomatic and political struggle against Israel. To end the conflict in asymmetrical power struggles, and to have the ripeness time in the transition to the negotiations can be achieved with hurting stalemate idea especially to the powerful party. In the presence of the balance of power and the intolerable cost idea, the parties may want to negotiate rather than keep the conflict. However for Israel to think about that, there must be a united and powerful Palestine. The third parties are also inefficient or biased in this conflict. Another option for balancing the asymmetrical power is Islamic world, yet they do not seem to be united at all. The search for solution to the Israel-Palestine problem and to restore the peace and unity in Palestine are not independent from one another. If only Palestine keeps its unity and stays together, then it can advance in closing the power gap with Israel.
