Abstract (EN)

This study has four main objectives. 1- To explain how Palestinians have become refugees in neighboring countries and in their own lands; 2- To describe foundation, goals and activities of UNRWA, which was established to help Palestinian refugees; 3- To examine the perspective of Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on UNRWA and its activities; 4- To analyze the perspectives of the most active countries about Palestine on UNRWA. The research was written through qualitative method. In the section on Palestinian NGOs, interviews with NGO representatives, and in the section where the views of the countries about UNRWA, mostly web resources and secondary works were used. As a result, the thesis reached the following important conclusion: Although UNRWA has been beneficial in serving Palestinians, it has led Palestinians to be accepted as refugees in their own lands, and has made Palestinians' status in Palestine seriously debated. This is in harmony with Israel's policies. The countries examined in this thesis, on the other hand, have different opinions about the continuity of UNRWA. Key words:Palestine, United Nations, Turkey, UNRWA, İsrael
