The impact of financial globalization on the performance and value of technology companies

In today's globalizing world, the ability of states to sustain their economic development related to the extent to which they adapt to technological transformation. The effectiveness of the investments that technology firms have made or will make in order to increase their performance and market capitalization by producing innovations is also linked to their ability to adapt to technological and financial globalization. Based on this idea, the determination of the relationship between financial globalization indicators and the performance and value indicators of technology firms operating in the "technology, hardware and equipment" and "software and computer services" sectors between 2009 and 2018 has been tried to be estimated and explained through some empirical analyzes conducted within the panel data analysis. In the light of the analyses and the findings obtained, when the models formed by the variables are taken into account as a whole, it is determined that there are significant relationships between financial globalization and firm performance and value indicators, the amount allocated by countries for research and development expenditures, domestic and international circulation of capital, investment agreements, strategies followed regarding investment restrictions and implemented regulations, status of reserves, government debt, net interest income and openness of capital have been determined to have an impact the performance and value indicators of technology firms operating in the "technology, hardware and software equipment" and "software and computer services" sectors.
