Behaviral trendencies in financial investment decisions investigation on behavioral finance in term of : Şanlıurfa province denter district exaples

Traditional finance theories defend the hypothesis of efficient markets and the thesis that financial investors behave rationally. It is based on the fact that investors make financial investment decisions according to the expected benefit theory. Behavioral finance theory argues that investors' inability to act rationally, and that psychological and sociological factor are influenced by traditional financial theories. Behavioral finance focuses on investors' irrational reaction and the fact that these reactions cannot prevent them from shaping financial investment decisions. Behavioral finance is also intended to express deviations that are not explained by traditional finance theories and that are distorted in the market and to predict the choice of financial investor during financial investment decisions. In this study, information about financial investment decisions, behavioral trends, investor psychology is given by specifying different aspects with traditional finance theories and behavioral finance theory. In addition, a more objective study was planned by conducting a survey of domestic and foreign studies on behavioral finance. The aim of the study is to test the effects of behavioral trends in the financial investment decisions of Sanliurfa Chamber of Commerce Chamber operating in Sanliurfa. When this effect was examined financially, the questionnaire technique was applied and the results of the questionnaire were tested by Qi Square, frequency analysis using SPSS 17.00 Statisticks program.. A Five-point Likert scale was used to measure behavioral trends of financial investors and factor analysis was applied. Sanliurfa Chamber of Commerce Chamber members were found to be under the influence of psychological and sociological factors in their investment decisions, which tendencies they showed and they could not act rationally. Findings obtained when the results of the study are compared to similar studies made in the field are in line with other studies.
