Abstract (EN)

The share of electrical energy usage areas, which is the basis of all economic activities, in total energy consumption is constantly increasing. Generation, transmission and distribution are of great importance in the use of electricity, as the electricity grid, which extends from large factories to much smaller residential areas, provides convenience to the consumer due to the ease of use provided by electrical energy to the consumer. Electrical contracting works are also an important part of this chain. Electrical contracting companies are businesses where employees may be exposed to serious work accidents due to both the working environment and their physical structure. In 2012, the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 was enacted in Turkey. With this law, employers have been given great responsibilities in order to protect people working in their workplaces against possible dangers. As a result, this law is critical for the continuity of production. In this research, important definitions, primary principles and risks related to occupational health and safety law were determined and analyzed. By applying the Fine Kinney risk assessment method in the electrical contracting company, it is aimed to determine the hazards and damages that the employees will encounter, to calculate the risk score and to determine the measures to be taken, to re-evaluate after the measures taken and to compare the results. It has been observed that with the necessary precautions, the frequency of exposure to hazards over time and the estimated damage that the hazard will cause on the environment and human beings do not change, only the probability of the occurrence of the damage can be reduced and thus the risks can be reduced
