Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the well-being, physical activity level, sedentary behavior level, attitude and behavior levels towards physical activity and to investigate the relationship between these parameters of Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation undergraduate students. The study consisted of 254 studients. The well-being of the students was determined by the Well-Star Model (WSM). The physical activity level was determined by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ-SF). The sedentary behavior level was determined by the Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire (SDQ). Students attitudes and behaviors towards physical activity were determined by the Cognitive Behavioral Physical Activity Questionnaire (CBPAQ). All parameters were assessed via online questionnaires. While there was no significant difference between the groups in terms of well-being, physical activity and sedentary behavior according to gender (p>0,05), male students' attitudes and behaviors towards physical activity were found to be significantly higher than female students (p<0,05). There was no significant difference between the four BMI categories in the results of well-being, physical activity, sedentary behavior, attitude towards physical activity and behavior (p>0.05). When the level of well-being was found to be significantly higher in the 3rd grade students compared to the 1st grade students (p<0,05), there was no significant difference between the classes in terms of physical activity, sedentary behavior, attitudes and behaviors towards physical activity (p>0.05). It was determined that the level of well-being of the students was related to the level of physical activity and their attitudes and behaviors towards physical activity (p<0,05). As a result, well-being, which is also emphasized in the definition of health, varies depending on class, while not depending on gender, BMI. Attitudes and behaviors towards physical activity are not dependent on class and BMI. Men's attitudes and behaviors towards physical activity are higher than women's. As the physical activity level of the students increases, the level of well-being also increases. As students' attitudes and behaviors towards physical activity increase, the level of well-being also increases.
