Abstract (EN)

This research aims to examine the thoughts of university students who are victims of dating violence towards marriage and family. In this context, a qualitative research was conducted with semi-structured interviews with 31 university students between the ages of 20 and 26 Dec. An interview form has been prepared for semi-structured interviews. Then, MAXQDA (2022) program was used for qualitative data analysis. In the interpretation of the data, descriptive analysis technique was applied. Based on the findings obtained, it has been observed that university students have negative attitudes towards family and marriage during and near this time period when they are victims of Decoy violence, but they have more positive perceptions as time goes on, and this situation does not differ between male and female students. University students who have been victims of dating violence have stated that family and marriage are still important today. They stated that men and women should have a more egalitarian distribution of roles in marriage within the marriage union. Students interpreted their parents' couple relationship in the traditional way and it was seen that they did not want to experience a couple relationship similar to their parents' couple relationship. Conclusions and recommendations are presented as a result of the study findings.
