Abstract (EN)
Starting with Descartes and moving through Kant, Uexküll, and Goldstein up to Canguilhem, the relation between organism and machine has been reinterpreted within different conceptual frameworks. The central claim is that living beings are essentially normative and that the difference between organism and machine should be understood not as one of degree but of kind. This study aims to highlight the limits of mechanistic explanation as well as the creative autonomy of technics as an organic externalization of life.
