Abstract (EN)

Today, functionally graded materials are widely utilized in sectors for instance space structures, automotive, and defense industries. In a functionally graded beam, both the composition and structure can be varied according to a desired function in specific directions, allowing for significantly different material properties to be achieved. The analysis and design of beams hold an important place in engineering, and various analytical and numerical methods are used depending on different conditions and solution accuracy requirements. Analyzing stress, displacement, and thermal behaviors of beams under different characteristics and loads using analytical methods is quite complex and challenging. Therefore, in this study, the Chebyshev Spectral method, which provides high accuracy and is one of the numerical methods, was selected. Using the MATLAB program and the chebfun library, a code algorithm was developed, and differential equations were approximately solved with Chebyshev polynomials. In this way, the mechanical analyses of beams under different types and loads were presented.
