Sociological understanding of self-help between the periods of fordism and postfordism

The research's aim is to examine the impacts of transformations in economic systems, in particular on workers and in general on subjectivities. During the research, the notion of self-help and its discourses are evaluated within a framework including practices of our world. From this point of view, the field of self-help is first analyzed in terms of its position in the reproduction of these practices and then its relationship with them. Thus, while working relations and its ongoing societal transformations are used as cultural and ideological background, changes in the capitalist organization of labor are constituted historical background of the research. The research is dedicated to analyzing the field self-help since it is both a consequence of economic, societal, and cultural developments and is the most important concept to understand these changes.
