Abstract (EN)
The demand for energy is increasing day by day with global population growth. It is also important that energy production is environmentally friendly and sustainable. The best alternative for the environment is the use of renewable energy sources. Among renewable energy sources, solar energy is generally the most widely used because of its high potential and sustainability. Electricity is produced from solar energy through Photovoltaic (PV) panels. The maximum power efficiency of PV panels may decrease due to environmental factors such as radiation and temperature. A Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) controller is used with PV panels. The MPPT controller finds the maximum power point using various algorithms. In order to find the maximum efficiency to be produced from the PV panel, the Adaptive Fuzzy Logic PID method was proposed in this thesis. The PID controller is simple and effective, but it may be insufficient alone in complex systems. In these complex systems, parameters can be adjusted accurately and smoothly by using Fuzzy Logic controller. The simulation results were obtained by creating a mathematical model in the Matlab/Simulink environment. In this simulation study, the proposed method was compared with the classical PID, Change&Observe (D&G) and Incremental Conductance (IR) algorithms in terms of PV output power, PV voltage and duty cycle.
