Abstract (EN)

Franz Kafka's works "Die Verwandlung" and "Der Prozess" are complex texts containing deep meanings in terms of hermeneutics. Hermeneutics is a methodology that focuses on the process of interpreting and understanding texts, playing an important role in the analysis of ambiguous and contradictory works such as those of Franz Kafka. In "Die Verwandlung", Gregor Samsa's transformation into an insect symbolizes the individual's alienation from society and identity crisis. From a hermeneutical perspective, Gregor's metamorphosis can be seen as a tool for understanding how people cope with emotional, psychological and social stresses in their inner world. The symbolism in the text interacts with the reader's own experiences and perspectives, allowing for different interpretations. "Der Prozess" tells the story of Josef K.'s unexpected accusations and trial. This study offers a critical perspective on legal systems and authority. From a hermeneutic perspective, the aim of the study is to examine the meaning of "Der Prozess" and explain its relationship with the political and social realities of Franz Kafka's time. It also contains findings about how the symbols and narratives in the text can be associated with personal quests for justice and existential questions. When Franz Kafka's works are examined from a hermeneutic perspective, it is seen that the author offers deep insights into the social, psychological and philosophical issues of his period. By delving deeper into the text and using different interpretive strategies, readers discover the layers of ambiguity and meaning presented by Franz Kafka's works. This study examines how hermeneutic methods can be used to understand the meaning and interpretation of symbols and characters in Franz Kafka's works. This study shows that reading Franz Kafka's works from a hermeneutical perspective provides an in-depth perspective on the social, psychological and philosophical issues of the author's time. Researchers and readers who will study this subject in the future are expected to explore the layers of uncertainty and meaning presented by Franz Kafka's works by delving deeper into the text and using different interpretation strategies.
