Abstract (EN)

Various processes are applied to ensure that any product produced is resistant to corrosion for many years and is functionally used for many years. The most common of the various processes is the surface coating process. In this thesis, the chrome plating process of the wire grids used in the furnace was examined. The effect of the current values and the residence time of the products in the coating bath, which are among the process parameters affecting the coating thickness, on the coating thickness were investigated and their optimization was carried out. The current values given to the plating baths from the process parameters and the chrome plating thickness values obtained were examined with the help of the reaction surface methodology. Obtained findings, Optimization of current values and residence times in the plating bath was ensured according to the chrome plating thickness on the wire grids used in the oven. In line with the data obtained with the current value applied to the plating baths in the chrome plating process, it was understood that the average nickel thickness on the wire grid in the oven increased, and then the chrome plating thicknesses.
