Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to make a comparison of variables belonging two different throw-in techniques by footballers who have different experience levels. With this aim, 15 professional footballers were incorporated into this study. For the statistical analysis of data, IBM SPSS analysis program was used. Normality distribution of data was assessed by Shapiro- Wilk Test. Durbin-Watson statistic was used to test whether there is first degree auto-correlation among the error terms of sample. Basic Linear Regression analysis was used to estimate relation between values of ball velocity – distance and applied force to ball and angle – angular velocity consisted in joints. To compare two different throw-in techniques, Unpaired t- test was utilized. Statistical significance level was taken as p0.05. Research findings reveal that even though distance and velocity values of two different throw-in techniques are not statistically (p>0.05) meaningful, distance and velocity are higher in step –taking throw in technique. Besides, it is observed that in both techniques, in the moment of throwing the ball (1) heel angle, (2) ground force and maximum pressure data is differing in two techniques. It is concluded that considering the distance and velocity values, step-taking throw in technique need to be preferred to contribute to attacks.
