Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to compare pain provocation and motion palpation tests with the evaluation of sacroiliac joint and dynamic balance and jump parameters in football players. 80 footballers (20.04 ± 2.77) from Inegölspor Club were included in the study. This study was conducted between June 2018 and May 2019. The sociodemographic characteristics of the participants were questioned using a structured questionnaire. Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction (SIJD) was evaluated by Gillet Test, Standing Forward Bending Test, Sitting Forward Bending Test, Prone Knee Flexion Test, Supine Long Sitting Test, Patrick-Faber Test, Thigh Thrust Test, Compression Test, Distraction Test, Gaenslen's Test. The participants were divided into two groups according to the answers given to the tests. Star Excursion Balance Test was used to evaluate the dynamic balance of the participants and Vertical Jump Test was used to evaluate the jump performance. In our study, it was found that the jump parameters, medial and posterio-medial balance parameters of the participants whose SIJ provocation tests are positive were lower than participants whose SIJ provocation test are negative. (Table 4.4, Table 4.5, Table 4.8, Table 4.9) (p<0.05). Consistent with the hypothesis, we found that the dynamic balance and jump parameters of the players whose provocations test are positive were lower than other group whose provocation tests are negative.
