Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the capacity of recovery in footballers and sleep quality and eating habits. Material and Method: The study was carried out with the participation of 80 male footballers of Giresun University Faculty of Sports Sciences.. SPSS 22.00 package program was used in data analysis of the research. To measure the normality of sample points, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was applied and the distribution was observed as normal as a result of the test. Repetitive Sprint Training (T.S.A) was applied to the players participating in the study to measure the quality of recovery after activity. The results were recorded by measuring the maximum heart rate between the repetitions of the activity training. Identifying statistical methods Frequency, Percentage, Average, and Standard Deviation were used when evaluating the data. Nutrition levels were measured using the scale of their eating habits. The Sleep Quality scale applied to footballers was applied to the Pittsburgh sleep quality index. Weight measurement values of footballers depend on variables T-test, group number is higher in comparisons with one-way ANOVA test was performed. Results: The average age of the footballers involved in the study was 24.33 (years), the average length of height was 1,804 (cm), and the body weight average was measured as 76.1 (kg). 'How do you find your performance in the last year?' asked the participants, 15.0% (n-12) was poor, 25.0% (n-20) was moderate, 33.8% (n-27) was good and 26.3% (n-21) performed very well. Conclusion: There is a significant difference in the capacity measurements of the players' recovery. According to the level of training and performance variables of footballers, there is a significant difference in eating habits, subjective sleep quality and sleep score sub-components. (p<0.05),(p<0.001).
