Abstract (EN)
Using Deep learning method for face recognition lead to better recognition accuracy. Deep learning based on Gabor wavelet transform implanted on face recognition system. In this thesis, deep learning method based on Gabor Wavelet Transform, which is new approach for face recognition, is presented. Proposed face recognition system developed to be used for different aims. We used Gabor Wavelet Transform (GWT) for feature extraction of face training data and then we used these features to Convolutional neural network for recognition of the faces. We implemented and evaluated the proposed method on ORL databases. This study also examines how importance of the preprocessing stage in recognition system.
