Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY The Examined of Solution Methods in Gauss-Krfiger Projection Parallel to ever evolving technology, in recent years, tremendous developments are also noticed considering pocket calculators and computers. The capabilities of pocket calculators have largely increased. As a result, the functions which could hardly be solved using special techniques can now be deal with these calculators. Such technological advancements have encouraged scientists to quest for new techniques. As a branch of Surveying Engineering, Mathematical Geodesy, which involves heavy computations have naturally been affected from this. Gauss-Kriiger Projection, which is the topic this study have been solved using various techniques in Mathematical Geodesy. In the past, the functions of this Projection had been calculated by serial approaches. In recent years, new computation techniques employing trigonometric, hyperbolic, and complex functions have been devised. In this thesis, these new techniques for Gauss-Kriiger Projections have been examined and compared with the ones which had been used earlier and are still proposed to be used in some regulations. This study has concluded that, the new techniques, examined for the Turkey's latitude and longitude values, can replace the ones used within limited longitudinal range. This way the longitudinal limitation is avoided. Key Words: Double Precision Numbers, Mathematical Geodesy, Gauss- Krfiger Projections, Latitude, Longitude VII
