Selection of walnut (Juglans regia l.) genotypes grown in Şahinbey, Şehitkamil and Oğuzeli locations of Gazi̇antep Province

This research is to determine the types that are superior to the walnut populations grown from the seeds in Şahinbey, Şehitkamil and Oğuzeli regions of Gaziantep between 2014-2016. 155 genotyped fruit samples were taken in line with the selection criteria. Finally, 10 genotypes were selected as hope. Fruit widths of selected types were 31.90-35.95 mm, fruit heights were 33.31.84-38.79 mm, fruit lengths were 35.04-46.44 mm, fruit weights were 13.12-20.40 g, internal weights were 7.01-8.55 g, internal proportions were 44.57-56.01 and crustal thicknesses were 1.34-2.03 mm The counter has changed. It was determined that all of the promising types had the protandry flowering structure.
