Mathematical modeling of water consumption in Gaziantep city

Abstract (EN)
Water is one of the most important vital components for people to maintain their daily lives. In order to ensure the continuity of the water cycle in nature and the efficient use of water resources, urban and industrial water use needs to be analyzed correctly and future water consumption needs to be modeled mathematically. Water consumption data of previous years were analyzed statistically with SPSS and Matlab package programs and the future water consumption was calculated mathematically by Fuzzy Artificial Neural Networks Method. SPSS and Matlab results were compared and similar results obtained. The number of subscribers and the changes in water consumption according to years were analyzed by linear regression method. According to this analysis, the number of subscriptions in 2023 is estimated to be 472854. In addition, the estimated water consumption in 2023 was calculated as 1.4x108 m3 using the estimated number of subscriptions. Based on these analyzes and evaluations, it was concluded that the number of subscriptions increased linearly and played an effective role in water consumption. Matlab fuzzy neural network method and SPSS regression analysis methods were significantly correlated to each.
