Abstract (EN)

Anatolia, the cradle of civilizations, has hosted many cultures, and every civilization that has lived on these lands from past to present has left a mark. These civilizations used the cultural riches they created and reflected them in their lives. Elements, items, clothes, containers, contraband, etc. belonging to these cultural riches. They reflected it in their architecture as well as in their usage items. They also used icons and symbols that reflected their unique culture as a language of expression. The symbols used and their meanings have been the subject of painting. In this thesis study, the door object, which is an element of Traditional Anatolian Architecture, and the icons and symbols on it were revealed by literature review, and artistic applications were made based on these symbols and symbols. In this context, twelve works were created using the oil painting technique on canvas.
