Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the effects of scandium addition on the microstructure and electrical properties of Al-2Sc alloy produced by conventional casting and melt spinning method were investigated. Al (99.9% purity) and Sc (99.999 purity) elements were used in the production of the samples. The compositions of the alloys are determined in weight percent. Conventional cast alloys are produced in an induction heating melter. The rapidly solidified contents of the main alloys were then prepared using an EZE Nanotechnology EZ001 melt-spinner with a pressure of 250 mbar Argon under pressure of molten alloys. X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyzes were performed for the characterization of the microstructures of the examined samples. As a result of the investigations carried out, it was found that the samples produced by the melt spinning method exhibited a uniform distribution of Al and Scandium elements (Al matrix) in both samples.
