Motifs and in personal interpretationns used in traditional İznik ceramics and decors

In my thesis work named Motifs in traditional İznik ceramics decors and personal comments a general assessment has been made regarding the information which includes the motifs, drawing processes and motifs? stages of developments in the art of ceramics which is one of traditional arts. Traditional İznik ceramics emphasizes the superiority of itself over other ceramics with the richness of raw material, form and pattern.Traditional İznik ceramics motifs have been classified, they have been explained through giving examples from drawing phases and this research has been detailed through. Research concludes with the inclusion of ceramic form applications which was formed considering personal comments of İznik ceramics patterns.İznik Arts of Ceramics has been constituting an important place since Ottoman times until today. Cultural, social and economical effect of ceramics - which was a palace art in Ottoman period- has been investigated with historical and archeological parameters and examined with substantial resources. As it displayed deterioration after 18th century and as it failed in receiving the support of palace due to economical, social and political reasons, İznik Arts of Ceramics gave way to Kütahya ceramics.Key Words: Arts of Ceramics, İznik Ceramics Motifs, İznik
