Abstract (EN)

It is observed that the vulnerability of the unique architectural heritage in rural areas of Türkiye, which is exposed to various hazards and faces the risk of disappearance, is often overlooked in terms of disaster risks. Proactive risk identification, analysis, and mitigation are more effective and economical than post-disaster recovery. In this context, within the scope of this thesis, a landslide and flood risk reduction model has been developed for the traditional architectural heritage located in the disaster-prone rural area of Dereköy Village. The model consists of three main stages: risk analysis, risk assessment, and risk reduction. Initially, landslide and flood susceptibility maps of the study area were generated. Criteria affecting vulnerability in traditional rural architecture at the building scale were identified, and their weights for the two different disaster risks were calculated. The overall damage levels of the buildings were identified using the Fuzzy Logic method. In the risk assessment phase, the collected data were used to determine the risk levels of the buildings and to identify the structures that require priority risk reduction interventions. In the final stage, the study concludes with the selection of appropriate intervention methods for risk mitigation.
