Özet (EN)

This study focuses on determination of general characteristics of folk music in traditional Turkish folk music which are identified with region/state/territory. Eastern Anatolia Region was taken as sample and it was aimed to determine musical characteristics of folk music with rhythm/verse in the region. Within the scope of study, -accessible- 829 folk music which were recorded by TRT were analyzed in various aspects. Studies were carried on these folk music in order to determine rhythm, maqam order, regional performances, moreover moving from general characteristics of folk music culture of states, musical characteristics of the region and states/territories of the region were determined. Although the study is a descriptive one carried out in order to determine the current status, it includes qualitative model in which resource review and document analysis are used. Moreover quantitative data were also used in classification-interpretation section folk music. In accordance with the study, it was concluded that there are mostly 4/4, 10/8, 12/8 rhythms Eastern Anatolia Region folk musics, Uşşaki Hüseyni, Segah, Çargah maqam orders are common, there are various musical characteristics shaped specific to states/regions in folk music culture analyzed in the territories moreover there are types of folk music which are important for TTFM repertory/theory in the states in region and from this result, various suggestions were presented for determination of musical identities specific to states/territories in the region.
