Analysis of new media through the changing narratives with the developing communication technologies

With the developing technology, many new concepts have entered our lives and these concepts have also affected our ways of living. The effects of different technological developments were observed at different times in the stages of human communication and its cultural structures that emerging and development correspondingly. Each medium has affected the social structure with the changes it brought with a unique approach. While the distinctions between social media and traditional media and the features that the previous one brought to the next development continue to be discussed, new definitions are started to be spoken on social media through developing web technologies. One of them is the concept of big data, which also concerns personal privacy and still continues to be investigated around many different elements, including identity. Big data is also the subject of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Machine learning and artificial intelligence technology's algorithms that can make autonomous decisions and make evaluations are fed with big data for the structure to make observations on a larger scale. This has led to the necessity to examine the relationship between human-generated data based on human communication and machine learning. Accordingly, with the relationship of data and social structure, the problem has arisen whether artificial intelligence technologies may be biased in the future due to the harmful data originated from human resources or algorithms fed with this data. Starting from this problem, with ethical concerns this research was carried out by evaluating the effects of technological developments on social life by considering the importance of social science, computer technologies and software development processes and the relationship between these disciplines. At the same time, the role of social science studies in the development of new technologies is observed by examining the relationship between big data and culture, as well as the relationship between narrative and data while negative results that may arise from the analysis of sample cases.
