Development of a developmental assessment form and intervention program (DUMFET) based on interaction with sensory-motor functions for infants with developmental disabilities/risk

The aim of this study was to develop a Developmental Assessment Form and Intervention Program Based on Interaction with Sensory-Motor Functions (DUMFET) for infants with developmental disabilities/risk. In order to achieve this goal, an expert-supported parent-implemented intervention program was prepared based on the ADDIE model of Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluation. Type 1 Design and Development Research method (DDR), which is a design-based research approach, was used in the study. In the analysis phase of the study, a literature review and needs analysis were conducted with six experts. In the design and development stages, six experts were consulted for the needs analysis and the evaluation form created in line with the literature, and the DUMFET Implementation Guide, Evaluation Form and Activity Booklet were prepared and content validity was obtained from five experts. In the implementation phase, the DUMFET Program was piloted with six infants (0-12 months) and ten parents with expert application and parent support. The findings obtained from the pilot implementation showed that DUMFET had a positive effect on the participants' performance in sensory-motor and interaction-based skills. The social validity findings obtained show that the social validity of DUMFET is high.
