Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis is to test the relationship between the economic freedom index and economic aggregates. According to the Atlas method of the World Bank, countries are divided into underdeveloped, developing and developed country categories. nflation, Unemployment and Economic Growth rates are considered as economic magnitudes. In addition to the Economic Freedom Index, the sub-components of the index, Job Freedom, Trade Freedom and Investment Freedom, are also included in the model. A total of 70 country data were compiled. Three different models have been created to examine the effect of economic freedoms on economic aggregates. A total of 12 models were created and analyzed. The created models were tested using the Panel Data method. With the examinations made, it has been concluded that the economic sizes in different country groups are related to economic freedom in the expected direction in general, and that economic freedoms have a positive effect on economic performance.
