Abstract (EN)
In this study, in terms of Turkish law, the authentic acquisition of the ship ownership has been examined within the framework of public law and private law rules. There are many different rules regarding the authentic acquisition of ownership in Turkish legislations. Considering the nature of the ship, it is not possible to apply all of these rules to ships. Therefore, in this study, the main rules regarding the authentic acquisition of ships ownership have been tried to be examined in detail, to the extent that they are suitable for the nature of the ships. Key words: Authentic acquisition of ship ownership, confiscation, requisition, forced sale, appropriation, found ship, acquisitive prescription.
