Abstract (EN)
In this study, registration and deregistration of ships under Turkish Law have been examined. For registration of ships in Turkey there are National Ship Registry, Turkish International Ship Registry and finally Home Port Registry whose legal status is controversial and each registration system has its own specific conditions for registration and deregistration of ships. In this respect, this study thoroughly examines the registration and deregistration of ships within the framework of general provisions of ship registries and relevant legislations.
