Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to examine the effects of training performed with noise for 6 weeks on shooting performance and reaction time in young basketball players. 15 men with an average age of 16 years, an average height of 176.75 cm and an average weight of 73.71 kg participated in this study voluntarily. AAHPERD shot test and Newtest visual reaction tests were applied to the participants in both quiet and noisy environments, as well as body weight and height measurements at eight-week intervals. The participants were given routine basketball training sessions, two days a week, for 6 weeks, accompanied by real match noise of 90 dB intensity. When we look at the research findings, a statistically significant difference was found between the effect of quiet and noisy environment on shooting success and the effect of training with noise on shooting success (p<0.05). However, no statistically significant difference was found in the effect of the quiet and noisy environment on the reaction time, and the effects of the training performed with noise on the reaction time (p>0.05). As a result; This study showed that the noisy environment reduces the shooting success in basketball, but the negative effects of this factor can be significantly reduced with the noise added to the training sessions for 6 weeks.
