Abstract (EN)
The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of jackfruit fruit extract use on adipokines, cerebral response and brain and cognitive functions and the relationship with anthropometric parameters in young boxers. The universe of the study will consist of young adult boxers between the ages of 18-25 who do regular weekly training in Bayburt Athlete Training Center (SEM), do not have any health problems during the athletic performance process, and agree to participate in the research. The study groups to be included in the project are as follows: J0 group (Control Group; Group 1) the group that consumed one bottle of mineral water (500 ml) per day for 4 weeks and did not receive any fruit extract (n=6); J100 group (Group 2) the group that will use jackfruit fruit extract orally at 100 mg/kg in a bottle of mineral water (500 ml) per day for 4 weeks, (n=6); J200 group (Group 3) will use 200 mg/kg jackfruit fruit extract orally in a bottle of mineral water (500 ml) per day for 4 weeks (n=6); J300 group (Group 4) will use 300 mg/kg lychee fruit extract orally in a bottle of mineral water (500 ml) per day for 4 weeks (n=6) and will consist of 4 groups and a total of 24 athletes. The individuals in the 30-day study groups will consume the fruit extract at least 2 hours before training, provided that it is at least 2 hours before training. The individuals in the study groups will train for 1.5 hours (16:00-18:00) for 5 days a week for 30 days. A randomized trial design will be used so that the total live weight averages of the individuals in the research groups will be equal. Saliva samples will be taken at the beginning of the study, on the 0th, 15th, and 30th days, on the first training day and at the end. Saliva samples will be taken and stored at -20 C° until the analysis is performed. Adipokine, Cerebral response and parameters for the examination of Irisin, Omentin-1 and BDNF levels in saliva samples will be studied with ELISA method. Cognitive performance level will be determined, anthropometric measurements will be made. Data obtained as a result of the research will be analyzed in SPSS Statistics program.
