Abstract (EN)

Arts and crafts constitute the cultural heritage of the society. People living in different geographies with knowledge, experience and experience shape their culture as well as shape their lifestyles with production and consumption. Along with industrialization and globalization, felt making as our cultural heritage negatively affects the way of production and consumption, causing it to disappear. Felt and felt making, which is on the verge of extinction, lost its essence and became identical with other cultures with time and change. Felt, an ecological material, has developed in design and creativity with contemporary art and design knowledge and skills. While felt products made in the past with the technological age were floor mats, shutters, coins, tents, today they have taken their place with products such as coats, shoes, belts, shawls, hats, and wall panels. In this thesis, the definition and history of felt, the story of the first making of felt, the raw material used in felt production, ecological properties of felt, tools and equipment are included. This thesis, based on Gencer Kondal's business model, aims to revive our intangible cultural heritage, felt and felt making. Gencer Kondal's business model and felt workshop, Kondal's common pre-preparation stages in felt making, preparation of wool, dyeing, naaşlık preparation, scattering and scattering, felt works made in Gencer Kondal's workshop, exhibitions and workshops opened by Kondal, The trainings and the countries with which it trades are included in this thesis. Clothing and clothing accessories, home textile products and some similar artistic applications made in Gencer Kondal's workshop are supported by photographs. In line with the information obtained, Gencer Kondal's business model contributed to the revival of felt making, which is in danger of extinction.
