Abstract (EN)

This study comprehensively examines the effects of religiosity on future anxiety and the meaning of life among young individuals. Conducted with the participation of 459 young individuals aged 15-24 residing in Istanbul and Yalova, the data were collected using the "Beck Hopelessness Scale," "Meaning of Life Scale," and "Religious Attitude Scale." The findings indicate that religiosity plays a significant role in reducing future anxiety and providing meaning to the lives of young people. The analyses revealed a negative correlation between religiosity and future anxiety, and a positive correlation between religiosity and the meaning of life. Furthermore, it was determined that the effects of religiosity vary depending on demographic factors such as gender, educational level, and marital status. This study provides valuable insights into the role of religiosity in supporting the psychological well-being of young individuals.
