Studying genetically modified organisms in terms of Islamic law is important for halal food. It is essential to reveal many dimensions to understand the subject. It is essential to raise awareness on this issue by evaluating the issue from the perspective of Islamic law. While evaluating the past and present of the genetically modified organisms, it is important to present predictions about the future. In this study, we tried to reveal the conceptual framework of genetically modified organisms.We have included technical issues such as the importance of genetically modified organisms, their place in agriculture, their acquisition and analysis. We also touched on the benefits and harms of genetically modified organisms. While looking at the issue from a legal perspective, we first discussed the subject in terms of today's law. Later, we tried to interpret the subject in terms of halal and haram criteria and halal food in terms of Islamic law. After mentioning institutional and individual views in terms of Islamic law, we tried to put forward our own view.
