Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to schedule the operating room of a private foundation hospital on a daily basis using the Genetic Algorithm method. In order to determine the fitness value of schedules obtained in the study, four different cost sources were determined, and the objective function of the genetic algorithm was created. Existing crossover and mutation operators of the genetic algorithm have been developed to facilitate the solution and speed up the solution process in accordance with the structure of the problem. Matlab code was written in order to solve the operating room scheduling problem with genetic algorithms. The information used as input of the generated code is designed to be changed when needed. Thus, a model that can produce solutions in all conditions was created, depending on the number of patients, operation times, normal and overtime block time usage. When the results were examined, it was seen that the algorithm was able to obtain schedules that minimizes the fitness value (penalty function) of the model and at the same time increases the rate of operating theater usage.
